Instructions for Requesting a DOL Hearing.
As was explained in your
initial meeting with the attorney you need to request an administrative hearing
from the Department of Licensing. You
only have thirty (30) days from the date you were arrested to request a
hearing. If you fail to request a
hearing within that time you will not receive a hearing and your license will
automatically be suspended. Our office
will not request the hearing but will represent you once you have
requested the hearing as outlined in these instructions.
The officer should have
given you a hearing request form to complete; if not, you can find a form on
our website www.WenatcheeDUI.com. Click on “Links & Resources,” then scroll
down to “Forms.” Fill out the form
making sure to include your attorney’s name and our phone number
(509-663-3915). We recommend mailing in
the hearing request form exactly twenty-eight days (4 weeks) after your
arrest. If you do not remember the exact
day you were arrested review the criminal citation you
were issued. You must include payment of
$200.
You can also request a
hearing on-line at the Department of Licensing’s web site—a link is provided on
our web site www.WenatcheeDUI.com,
at the “Links & Resources” tab. Be
sure to include your attorney’s name and phone number (509-663-3915). When requesting a hearing on-line you must
use a credit card to pay the $200 hearing fee.
If requesting a hearing on-line, do so exactly twenty-eight days (4
weeks) after the date of arrest. If you
do not remember the exact day you were arrested review the criminal citation
you were issued.
REMEMBER: YOU MUST REQUEST A HEARING (AND PAY THE FEE) WITHIN 30 DAYS OF THE DATE YOU WERE ARRESTED.
If you have any questions or concerns please call us at (509) 663-3915.
